Thought from Susan Cain’s book–Quiet: The World of Introverts 7.28.12

“The glory of the disposition that stops to consider stimuli rather than rushing to engage with them is its long association with intellectual and artistic achievement.  Neither E=mc2 nor Paradise Lost was dashed off by a party animal” William Gallagher

**Think about some of the artistic and intellectual achievements–introverts came up with them

(Examples:  Charles Schulz:  an introvert and came up with Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang; Dr. Seuss–an introvert and look at all the books he wrote; Paradise Lost by John Milton; E=mc2 written by an introvert;

**Why bring this up?  America is a country that exalts the extrovert and makes introverts need to go for a standard unreachable.
